James Chrobak

Professor and Associate Department Head of Undergraduate Studies

Psychological Sciences

Education

Ph.D., Experimental Psychology, 1988, UNC-Chapel Hill

Research Interests

Dr. Chrobak is currently focused on 1) describing variation in neuronal synchronization across the septotemporal axis of the hippocampus, 2) how that variation is altered by environmental phenomenon, the animals behavior as well as pharmacological manipulations and 3) how that variation may relate to episodic memory formation. His other interests include:

  • Making memories in the mammalian brain
  • The physiology and function of the hippocampus and interconnected forebrain circuits.
