Faculty/Staff/Student Profiles

There are two ways that users may have their profile information on the Department of Psychological Sciences website:

  • User Listing
  • Profile Page

User Listing (Basic Profile Information)

Access

Faculty, Staff, and Ph.D. students have basic profile information on the main Psychological Sciences website.

Use

The basic profile information drives information included on user listings and the information listed under picture on profile page.

Editable Information

Your basic profile information includes:

  • Display name
  • Email (not editable)
  • Website
  • Title
  • Phone Number
  • Fax Number
  • Office Location
  • Office Hours
  • Address
  • Courses taught
  • Profile Image

How to Update:

  1. Log in to http://www.psych.uconn.edu/wp-admin using your NetID and Password.  This link also appears at the bottom of http://www.psych.uconn.edu, labeled “Webmaster Login”
  2. Navigate to Your Profile. {Left side, “Users” -> “Your Profile}
  3. Make your updates, and choose Update Profile
  4. Your changes will automatically be live

If you’d like to request assistance updating your basic profile information, including adding your profile photo, you can email psychology@uconn.edu, and it will get on our production queue, although the fastest way to make changes to your basic profile is self-service.

 

 

Faculty/Graduate Student Profile Page (Extended Profile Information)

Access

Faculty, Staff, and Ph.D. students have basic profile information on the main Psychological Sciences website.

Use

The extended profile is a single page profile which brings in the user’s basic profile information but allows for a large white space for profile content. When a user has a profile page linked to them, their name will be clickable on user listings, which directs to this extended profile page.

How to edit

  1. Log in to http://www.psych.uconn.edu/wp-admin using your NetID and Password.  This link also appears at the bottom of http://www.psych.uconn.edu, labeled “Webmaster Login”
  2. Navigate to Pages, then select your name to edit the page
  3. Edit your content using the Visual or HTML editor
  4. Make your updates, and choose Publish
  5. Your changes will automatically be live
