The Center for Health/HIV Intervention and Prevention (CHIP) is a research center dedicated to the study of the dynamics of health risk behavior and processes of health behavioral change in individuals and targeted at-risk populations. CHIP researchers create new scientific knowledge and new theoretical frameworks in the area of behavior change for preventing the spread of HIV infection, medical adherence, and other health risk domains. The Center provides theory-based health behavior change and HIV risk behavior change expertise and services at the national, international, state, university, and community levels. CHIP is located in the Department of Psychology, Social Psychology Division, at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut.
